Climate Reality Project

How can a nonprofit brand better engage with their supporters?

Completed as a part of the class, GD400, at NC State, my rebrand of the Climate Reality Project aimed to make this outspoken nonprofit impossible to ignore. Started by Al Gore, the Climate Reality Project is a nonprofit that raises awareness about climate change and promotes scientific study of climate crisis solutions.

My approach to the rebrand was focused on reflecting the urgent tones already used by the organization. In many ways, I wanted to reflect the type of candid messaging used by scientists like Bill Nye to appeal to activist audiences - brutally honest and direct. The resulting brand system relies on dynamic typography and bold photographic treatments to better demand attention from potential supporters without lowering the credibility of the organization. I produced 3 logo variations, a new website design, a variety of small video reels for social media, and branded email examples.

I want to work with you to create a beautiful world.
