These illustrations and print design were printed as a part of the "Postcards" zine, created by NC State class GD400 F21. Each of the students of the class contributed 3 pages that discuss the history of graphic design from their hometowns.
My contribution focused on the city of Gainesville, FL, where I spent my entire life before attending college. While Gainesville hasn't been a hub for design like some other established cities, the design community has started to flourish within the past ten years as new design agencies were started to help serve the community. This print reflects my research into the history of local newspapers, printers, design education programs, and design agencies in relationship to the history of the growing city.
